What’s in Sussex HIP’s pack?

The Home Information Pack contains important information that buyers and sellers need to know. Home Information Packs (HIPs) including Energy Performance Certificates have been implemented on a phased basis which started on 1st August 2007.

HIPs are now required for the sale of properties with three bedrooms or more. Smaller properties will be phased in over the coming months.

It is said that over 20% of house sales fall through after the searches have been completed. This in turn leads to added costs and missed opportunities from other potential buyers.

Providing a pack at the beginning of the process should reduce the likelihood of surprises later on, as buyers will be able to make more informed decisions about purchasing their new home.
